I’m particularly interested in optimizing care and prevention pathways for the elderly. My expertise in human and social sciences leads me to think about systems and organizations from the point of view of beneficiaries, elderly people and care professionals, and in relation to contexts and environments. The question of involvement in physical activity, and more general lifestyle modification, is central to my research work.
Qualified as a Phd in Sociology and in the Sciences and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities, I teach mainly in the “Adapted Physical Activities” streams ( master 2) , but also in medical studies and/or medico-social courses (IFSI for example). Gerontopole also runs continuing education courses for healthcare professionals.
In collaboration with the Jean Monnet University of Saint Etienne and the SAINBIOSE laboratory, the gerontopole carries out multidisciplinary interventional research projects, particularly in the field of prevention. Expertise on the autonomic nervous system and sleep apnoea syndrome, and care pathway modelling are examples of existing collaboration.
