Academic interests

I have been developing innovative bone imaging in the SAINBIOSE LBTO team since 2016.

I combine the technique of transparency of mineralized tissue with the use of tracers and fluorescent markers allowing the observation by confocal microscopy and/or Light Sheet microscopy to map bone dynamics of the entire skeleton in its microenvironment and the lacuno-canalicular network in 3D, on large volumes.

This process makes possible to observe changes in bone biology at the tissue level during aging and/or metabolic stress. Preliminary histological data allowed me to observe apoptosis, calcifications and death of bone cells. They confirm the interest in defining a bone quality score linked to microcalcifications (Osteoscore).
