Academic interests

Mechanical interactions between medical devices and human body

Mixed experimental and numerical approach to characterize the effects of orthosis on human soft tissues. I am currently working on Shoe Insoles optimization to reduce pain induced by Rheumatoid Arthritis. We use high fidelity volumetric image segmentation and finite element analysis to rebuild patient-specific geometry. The global aim is to provide numerical tools to scientific, medical and industrial communities to better describe mechanical loading on diseased feet.
