Having long time life is the goal. Having some implants (especially hip joint) for the longest time ever is the goal, in human body. I am studying the implants wear from tribology (friction) and corrosion, due to body fluid. Dual mobility hip joint was the first topic. Moreover, I extended the field and nowadays we are working on spine to be straight and medical devices dedicated to maintain the back. We are at the cross road between mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, fluid mechanics engineer and thermodynamics. The work should so weird (from outside) but so interesting.

Teaching

My teaching activities are based on physics and materials science.

We are starting from physics during the first year of Mines St-Etienne: fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. From the second year I am opening the materials science.

-> involvement in organisation of Master etc

Research projects in Mines St-Etienne (200 hours): management

-> teacher in Master/ licence etc…

Teaching on Master level.

Orthopedic implants diploma (DU implants)

Background

I am chemical Engineer. Thus I got some fundamental improvement through Agrégation de physique (Capes and Caplp2). I got Ph.D on tribology and spent as visiting scholar 1 year in USA (Pennstate University). See my CV here.
