Academic interests

I teach cell biology at the Medical School of St Etienne University, and I am a rheumatologist in the department of the CHU of St Etienne. I am interested in:

  • The role of microvascularization in bone remodeling and in response to osteoanabolic stimuli such as parathyroid hormone (translational)
  • The role of matrix proteins of the SIBLINGS family and in particular of the Bone Sialo Protein, under the direction of L Malaval, CR Inserm (translational)
  • Renal osteodystrophy and the pathophysiological mechanisms leading to bone fragility in patients with chronic kidney disease (clinical)
Teaching

I teach Cell Biology at the Medical school and in Master i-Santé of J Monnet  University  St- Etienne.

Currently, invited professor at Genève University /University Hospital, Switzerland.

Background

Internship and assistantship at Bordeaux University Hospital/Bordeaux University, then Research Fellow (91-94) at Merck Research Laboratories (West Point, PA, USA).
