Academic interests

My research interests are in mechanobiology and lie at the crossroads between biology, mechanics and materials science. I study cell-matrix interactions in 3D in vitro models. The goal is to understand how cells respond to their mechanical environment and how they modify their environment in return. More precisely, I study the mechanobiology of human aortic smooth muscle cells in the context of aging.

Teaching

Background description (optional)

I defended my PhD at Ecole Centrale de Lyon in 2022 on bioprinted in vitro models to study cell-matrix interactions. I then moved to Eindhoven University of Technology, in the Netherlands to study cell-matrix interactions in wound healing and fibrosis. I joined SAINBIOSE in October 2024.

Background

I am research scientist (Chargé de recherche) at French Blood Establishment (EFS) affiliated at INSERM U-1059 SAINBIOSE Unit. I work in vascular biology, with a special focus on blood components and platelets, since 2021.

I received my PhD in Immunology & Microbiology in 2015 at Laval University (Québec, Canada). Then I performed several post doc at Laval University (Québec, Canada) between 2015-2016; at Karolinska institutet (Stockholm, Sweden) between 2016-2017; at Heart Institute Ottawa University (Ottawa, Canada) between 2017-2019. Since my return in France, I was appointed as assistant professor at Pharmacology faculty in Aix-Marseille University, in C2VN unit between 2019-2021. I got, in 2021, my permanent position as junior scientist &Principal Investigator at EFS & SAINBIOSE
