Interested in preventing, promoting, and managing non-communicable diseases, Son is passionate about health education, behavioral therapy, and drug treatment. Her diverse experience in implementing public health programs has allowed her to gain an in-depth understanding of the challenges related to these areas and develop innovative strategies to address them.
Son is particularly interested in effective approaches to controlling and managing hypertension, as well as integrating meditation and yoga practices into mental health and wellness programs. Her professional background has also allowed her to understand different populations’ unique needs better and enabled her to identify adapted and sustainable solutions to improve community health.
As a proactive researcher, Son aspires to continue contributing to public health research by exploring new methods and developing innovative interventions to promote health and well-being. Son’s goal is to continue her work to help shape evidence-based policies and practices that will positively impact the health of populations worldwide.
Son MAI holds a master’s degree in population and reproductive health research from Mahidol University in Thailand and degrees in foreign economics and social sciences from Vietnamese universities. With diverse experience in organizations such as USAID, IRD, PATH, AIP Foundation, and the Ho Chi Minh City AIDS Committee, she has led programs on HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, non-communicable diseases, and road safety, highlighting her valuable skills in strategy development, standardization, and team leadership. , and coaching.
As a technical and program development team member, she supervises consultants, manages programs, and administers projects. Equipped with strong research capabilities, from protocol design to data analysis, expertise in teaching and training, mentoring, and program development, she excels in planning and organizing events in fast-paced environments, ensuring timely delivery.
