Academic interests

The intersection of computer vision technologies and healthcare systems drives my passion for developing computational methods that can significantly impact medical practices. My postdoctoral research is a continuation of my Ph.D. work titled “Early developmental evaluation of premature infants with quantitative general movements assessment using deep learning-based 3D pose estimation.” This research aims to explore computer vision and deep learning state-of-the-art methods to enhance the early developmental evaluation of premature infants, which could lead to significant improvements in their long-term health outcomes. My passion for applying computational techniques to medical problems began during my master’s studies in computer engineering, where I conducted a project on melanoma skin cancer detection using convolutional neural networks. Another experience that solidified my commitment to using technology for health advancements was a six-month research internship at Laboratoire Images, Signaux et Systèmes Intelligents (LISSI). There, I developed an embedded application to quantify 3D facial muscle movements, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral facial palsy.
